SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Power Integrations (Nasdaq: POWI),
the leader in high-voltage integrated circuits for energy-efficient
power conversion, today announced that Raja G. Petrakian has joined the
company as Vice President, Operations. In this role Dr. Petrakian will
oversee the company’s global supply-chain and logistics functions as
well as its product- and test-engineering efforts. He replaces John
Tomlin, who is retiring after nearly 14 years with the company.
Dr. Petrakian has nearly 25 years of supply-chain management experience
in technology industries, including two decades at Xilinx Inc., a
leading supplier of programmable logic devices with $2.4 billion of
annual revenues. At Xilinx, Dr. Petrakian served in a succession of
increasingly senior roles, most recently as senior vice president of
worldwide operations. He holds a Ph.D. in industrial engineering and
operations research from the University of California at Berkeley, as
well as M.S. and B.S. degrees in systems engineering from Case Western
Reserve University.
